Timmons Design provided Sustainable design, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Site Infrastructure and Master Planning services for the 3.25 million sq. ft., mixed-use development located in Varthur, a suburb of Bangalore, India. The development will be situated on the shores of Lake Varthur and take advantage of the resources the lake provides. The proposed project includes new residential space of up to 1,500 units on a 23 to 24-acre site.

TDE is currently providing Master Planning, Conceptual Design and Historical Benchmarking for the development. The main goal of the project is to reduce building energy usage and the dependence on air conditioning for the development by maximizing passive system design, as well as maximizing limited water resources. The overall vision of the development is to maximize all aspects of the site's resources and use the interplay and 'waste' streams of one system as the 'source' for another system.
